Our Expert

We are experienced in working under challenging environmental conditions. We have more than sufficient manpower and resources to provide emergency relief and possess unmatched rescue capabilities in Malaysian waters.

A major milestone was achieved when a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was sealed between Bumi Jaya and Guangzhou Salvage China (China Rescue and Salvage) to provide salvage, emergency rescue, heavy-lift project, decommission project, and other infrastructure projects in Malaysia.

CAPSIZED

CARRIER JBB RONG CHANG 8, Johor Muar

IN 2018, JBB Rong Chang 8; a sand carrier of 122M was capsized off the state of Johor, Township of Muar. Swift rescue operations between BJSC and Guangzhou Salvage (GZS) took place.

The Team took 24 hours to Mobilize & 4 hours to complete the salvage job.

After being trapped for 55 hours in total darkness, they managed to safely evacuate two (2) Chinese nationals from the capsized vessel.

CAPSIZED

BARGE “SURYA NAWA 2” AT PANTAI BERSERAH, KUANTAN, PAHANG

In January 2021, during the Monsoon season and Movement Control Order of Covid-19, Bumi Jaya Salvage & Engineering Sdn Bhd was appointed to carry out the rescue operations to remove the winch house of capsized barge “Surya Nawa 2” and managed to dispose of the wreck.

Despite the challenges encountered due to the monsoon season and Movement Control Order, we maintained Standard Operative Procedures (SOP) and completed the operation successfully. Watch our process

COLLISION

WANHAI 301 & APL DENVER, East Johor Straits

In early 2017, Wanhai 301 and APL Denver experienced a collision at the East Johor Straits which resulted in a puncture on the APL Denver Starboard side bunker tank.

Major spillage of between 100-150M3 fuel oil caused a hazardous pollution in the straits. BJSC was called to provide restoration services in relation to oil spill response activities.
